It is a typical winter Friday night and I decided to hit up KFC Kent Terrace in Wellington for a Burger Tower since it is my favourite burger on the menu featuring a hash brown, before heading home to watch the rugby. I got home and realised that my large Ultimate Burger meal featuring a KFC Burger Tower, potato and gravy, large fries with a bottle of Pepsi Max which costs a steep $17, why is it that KFC is so expensive these days? Anyway, I thought that even though other foods like pizza are becoming cheaper in an attempt to gain customers, that the delicious taste of KFC was worth the investment.I arrived home and starting eating, only to find that my KFC Burger Tower that I ordered without red onions, not only contained red onions, but my large fries were missing. This means I not only had nothing to scoop up my potato and gravy with, but I was left hungry and now must venture out after paying $17.
Whatever happened to that classic New Zealand night in with a bucket of KFC in front of television? Even though the KFC Burger Tower may be back permanently, I will not be back to pay $17 and still be hungry sitting at home on a Friday night. I paid $17, but didn't get good service.
