I read on the Yahoo Xtra website that they suggest taking a 48 hour honesty pact. This means that you should be truthful for 48 hours (kind of like Liar Liar). This would be interesting, but would be fun for a group of people to do. The phrase "To be honest" would be over used and it would mean hurting some people's feelings along the way when they ask "Do I look fat in this outfit?" Who is keen?
I am also making a personal pact that I don't care what others think of me. Sometimes it is so easy to worry too much about what others think, that it gets in the way of having fun. I say this with reference to what I sometimes face when everyone else is busy and I want to go to the beach or movies on my own. I often think I will seem like a loser or weirdo, but it is time to draw the line in the sand and exclaim "I will have fun, without relying on others" It is actually sometimes refreshing to clear the mind!
