The Stags will beat Otago this weekend at the Roaring Pen, after two demoralising close defeats against the mighty Waikato and Auckland teams in the past two weeks. We came back from 29-3 down last week to lose 38-37 against the JAFAs. The TAB says I'm wrong, but they are hardly going to own up to it! Go the Stags!

It's Miller time, and Ogre won't disappoint.

If only we can nail a late droppie this week after missing them for the last two weeks!

Another deep thought today is that after meeting Jon Beck for a romantic hot chocolate is that I'm weighing up Korea because I am desperate, and that I really should be going to Europe to get some real action. If anyone of you is keen I have been searching on the web and if I don't get this Council job as an Administration Officer I am definitely keen. Go to www.iep.co.nz , they have Work Britain and Work Ireland offers and they seem to help you the whole way. You only need proof of $3000 for the UK and $2500 for Ireland. You pay $2100 for the flights. I'm so tempted as I have the money saved up from my working days, Cash Battle ($712.50) and writing for testrugby ($500). The next leaving time is NOV 15 which would mean missing Christmas here. Anyway if you are contemplating it give me an email, it would be great to have company. This would put me closer to some of my goals in life like attending Football, Rugby and Cricket World Cups. I am a little peeved that I wasn't allowwed time off to go to a match at the 1987 World Cup between Wales and Canada won 40-9 by the Welsh. It was my only previous shot at attending these.

Another option I am working on is if I get this Administration Officer job is getting a TESOL Certificate and going to Germany and teaching English and then going to the World Cup in the middle of next year! However this would defeat the purpose of having a permanent job!

Well I am struggling to maintain my kudos in the fantasyrugby realms. In writing as the Guru for testrugby.com I almost over analyse selections making my performances down on the glory days. Hattrick.org is going well. It is more of a Premiership Manager game. For some reason my boys are winning the competition games and losing the friendlies which is great in a sense, but today I am losing to a Div 6 team like myself with worse players.

Last night I went diving with Sammy, Rach, Em, G, Jon and Josh. I skinned my toes on the dive board, but apart from that it was great hanging out with my flatmates and the Student Soul crowd. They seem more amicable than the masses at DCBC in general. On Monday we went to the beach and played some Ultimate and Touch.

This is my melon courtesy of the olds. My mum, Wilm and Big Guy. I have 3 brothers and a sister scattered all over the owrld from the mighty Invers to Malmo, Sweden to Hastings in the North Island.

I support the Stags, All Blacks and Highlanders. I also write articles for testrugby.com as the Guru.

I am currently going through a contemplative time in my life with a job offer in Korea which I turned down on the off chance that I get a job at the DCC which they notified me about being advertised. It is a peculiar predicament. Dunedin is a great place with lots of great people but most of them are student age or my age but hang out in couples. It is really annoying especially when people that I grew up with are settling down while I want to live the dream and find the perfectly fun job.

I have been put off by the Korean stories yet I remain somewhat intrigued with living the good life overseas for a while. The problem is finding someone with similar circumstances who wants to explore the globe with me. The next two years are set to be crackers worldwide. The Commonwealth Games in Melbourne and World Cup of Soccer in Germany in 2006. In 2007 there is the Rugby and Cricket World Cups in France mainly and the West Indies. It would be awesome to do a tour. Working on the road!

As for now I have to think of another way to avoid an annoying WINZ appointment.

These pictures are of my soccer team Redemption FC. We won the Efficient Security League this year. To quote Murray Mexted "To the victors, go the spoils!"

I am the Vice President in 2005 and was the President in 2003 and 2004.

The left photo is taken before our penultimate match against Roslyn Wakari B. It was windy that day. We won 2 nil.

The photo on the right was taken after our final game for the 2005 season against Northern. We won 4 nil.

Other guys who played for us during the season not in the photos are

Alvin, Muzza, Caleb, Pete, Christian, Stevo, Sammy, Phil, Ritchie and Landreth.
